Review the 4-day Santa Cruz Trek from Huaraz, with Cordillera Blanca scenery, meals, camping gear, mule support, costs, and safety tips.

“WARNING: Only book if you’re fluent in Spanish and are a very experienced hiker. You may be left stranded. While the tour coordinator assured the guide was bilingual Spanish English, not he nor any of the porters spoke a single WORD of English. I didn’t find this out until it was too late and we were en route for the trip. Even after, the coordinator kept lying with various excuses pretending and insisting he did actually speak English(!!!) If you have any potential health issues, serious altitude considerations or concerns in general and have limited Spanish like I did, be aware, you won’t be able to communicate anything for 4…”

Trek to Peru’s Laguna 69 from Huaraz with park entry, transport, mountain views, and practical advice on altitude, timing, and value.

“We went on your guided tour to lake69 a couple of weeks ago. We have a bunch of complaints, because of our bad experience with both the guide, the bus, the prices ext. We went on a bus with a lot of other people, that we spoke to on the trip. We paid 150 soles per person for the trip, and the rest of the bus paid 50 soles per person? How does this make any sense? We feel that we have tricked by you into buying this trip at a much higher price than everyone else on the exact same trip… paying 3 times as much as everyone else?…”

Review of the Laguna 69 trek from Huaraz, with timing, costs, transport, hiking demands, group size, and practical booking advice.

“It was a great tour and a really good day. Thank you very much. The two disappointments are, that we planed (like written in the contract) with an end at the same place where we were collected. So we have had a longer way home with two tired kids. Further on called the contract a maximum of 20 people but there were 28 what means a litten bit less comftorbility. The tour was really good, but a lot of tourists expect what is written in the contract. Muchas gracias!”

“We were picked up very close to our hotel The trip was NOT guided There was NO english The guide did NO explaining or oversight The guide said on arrival to Laguna 69 he would gather the group and explain the Color, history etc on arrival at the top The only concerns he stressed were we MUST be done by 15:00 He bragged about his 45 min record on getting to the top We drove home in a big tour bus... so hot did not put on a/c. He spent his time secured in the front with the driver, a few people were hit with bags that were not properly…”

Review of Huaraz’s Laguna 69 day hike: high-altitude views, transport, guide quality, costs, difficulty, timing, and practical tips.
