“Our tour guide, Philipe, was wonderful. The climb to the top of Machu Picchu is steep and we were very slow. Philipe gracefully stopped at numerous spots to tell us about the plants and animals while giving us time to breathe. The only reason I’m giving the overall tour a four rather than a five is because the transportation was a bit confusing. We didn’t meet our guide until we arrived at Aguas Calientes, four hours after we departed the hotel. Navigating the train station and bus pickup locations in the dark, without help, made us a bit nervous. Apart from that, however, we loved the tour and would recommend…”

“Great experience to explore the important sites of Cusco and the Machu Picchu. The tour went smoothly, well organised tour. Knowledgeable tour guides, the country has some of the reliable and dependable people showcasing there culture. Great to know that some of the cultures are still preserved nowadays as that what makes the country of Peru so unique from the rest of other South American country.”

“Although, our original itinerary was changed, we ended up with an amazing visit to Machu Picchu with the Peru Hiker’s team. The communication was excellent prior to the trip, and Daniel was very accommodating with necessary last minute visit changes. We had an incredible time during our Machu Picchu visit and were ushered through the site, ticketing lines, and the somewhat confusing transportation system by JD and Nino. Thank you to Peru Hikers team for their hospitality during our visit! 🇱🇷❤️ 🇵🇪”

“The train ride and the tour were fantastic, really recommended. However, I'm not quite sure if booking through Viator adds that much for the extra price. Communication was suboptimal. We were staying in an AirBnB so I wanted to make sure that we would be picked up and what time. It was difficult to get in touch with them, but after all everything went smooth.”

Edwin our private guide to Machupicchu was so knowledgeable I wanted to spend a few more days just hanging out with him! 😂 He is a Master of everything Machupicchu and the Incas and region in general. What a gift 🎁 I cannot recommend this experience enough, this experience has definitely impacted me to the core… thank you so much!!”
